This directory contains precompiled Linux kernel.  Brief descriptions of
the kernel is given below.  You can find complete descriptions of the
kernel in the individual "config" file in kernel subdirectory.

   generic.s       | Support for most single-processor Alpha systems.  This
                   | image is very large because it includes support for
                   | almost all SCSI adapters known to man.  Some of these
                   | will be pruned out later as it is determined if they
                   | do not work on the Alpha.
                   |
                   | This image is known to work on the AS 2000, DP264, 
                   | some PC164LX machines, and the EB164.

This kernel are offered for installation during the setup program and they
are provided here as a reference for those wanting to rebuild their kernel.
