Begin3 Title: sock.patch.gz Version: 12-26-94 Entered-date: 12-26-94 Description: Patch to /proc filesystem to add the file /proc/net/sockets which reports the number of sockets free / allocated / maximum used. This was made because we kept getting NET2: messages in our syslog, we were running out of sockets. This patch also increases the # of sockets to 512, which is enough to insure that no single program can allocate all the sockets on the system. Socket allcation should be made dynamic. Applies cleanly to 1.1.72.
