Babel Distribution Guide 30 June 1994 Welcome to the Babel system! This file contains the distribution guide for version 3.4 patch level 1 of the Babel system which supports multilingual typesetting. This version of the Babel system is compatible with LaTeX2e. Whenever the instructions talk about LaTeX, read LaTeX2e. **Note that the files from the babel system currently may produce **unexpected results when you use T1 output encoding. This problem **will be solved in a future version of the babel system This system is maintained by Johannes Braams in cooperation with various people around Europe.
